Biography

Dr. Hale is Assistant Dean for Professional and External Affairs in the College of Pharmacy. He also serves as Clinical Associate Professor in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, where he has coordinated the experiential program and taught pharmacy practice courses. He received his B.S. in Pharmacy and Master of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Education at Ohio State.

His pharmacy practice experience encompassed eight years at the Ohio State University Medical Center’s Department of Pharmacy including positions in clinical practice, nutritional support, nuclear pharmacy, and management. Dr. Hale’s professional interests also include student affairs administration, student development, student organizations, student recruitment and admissions, outreach and engagement, and enhancing the environment for diversity in higher education.

Dr. Hale helped establish the Generation Rx Initiative which includes students, faculty, and staff members at Ohio State. This learning community develops programs and resources to educate students ("K through College") about medication safety and combat the rising abuse of prescription and non-prescription drugs.
