Ohio State University is one of the most comprehensive Universities in the United States with over 10,000 courses offered, 200 graduate fields of study and an enrollment of nearly 50,000 students.
The College of Pharmacy at Ohio State University is located in the Health Sciences Center, the most comprehensive health sciences center in America. It includes the Colleges of Dentistry, Medicine and Public Health, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, and Allied Medical Professions. In addition, the Health Sciences Center includes five hospitals, two free-standing research institutes and a network of more than 30 community-based primary and specialty care facilities throughout central Ohio.
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy is ranked among the top programs in the United States. In an article published in Annals of Pharmacotherapy (September 2002), OSU was ranked as:
- 4th Best Pharmacy School in the U.S. on the basis of perception, funding and scientific publications
- 2nd Highest number of scientific publications generated
- 7th Highest in perception rankings for pharmacy schools
In the 2009 edtion of “America's Best Graduate Schools”, U.S. News & World Report ranked the post-B.S. Pharm.D. program at Ohio State University 5th in the nation.
Faculty in the College of Pharmacy are well funded. Although National Institute of Health awards fluctuate, The Ohio State University typically ranks in the top 15 pharmacy schools in the nation.
Students in the Pharmaceutical Administration graduate programs enroll in many courses in the School of Public Health and the Fisher College of Business. The rapidly growing School of Public Health was ranked the BEST in OHIO and 37th amongst 125 accredited schools all over the U.S. Furthermore, the program in Health Services Administration was ranked 13th in the U.S. The Fisher College of Business at Ohio State is ranked the nations 19th best business school and the best in Ohio. Their Supply Chain/Logistics program is ranked 8th in the country (U,S, News & World Report annual ranking of America's Best Graduate Schools, April 2003).
