Areas of Interest

Research Interests: Development of new cancer therapies or diagnostics, quantitative gene expression.  Areas of study include:

1. role of noncoding RNAs in cancer development.
2. microRNA as a diagnostic or therapeutic target in pancreatic and liver cancers.
3. quantitative PCR as a tool to study gene expression in cancerous and noncancerous tissues.

• Pharmacy 623, Drug Delivery III: The application of physical-chemical principles to pharmaceutics and biopharmaceutics: colloids, suspensions, emulsions, solid and topical drug delivery systems and the formulation factors affecting drug availability.

• Pharmacy 805, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology: Survey of contemporary issues in pharmaceutical biotechnology including genetic engineering, manufacturing, stability, delivery and pharmacokinetics of protein and nucleic acids drugs.
