Partner for Promotion is a collaboration of The Ohio State College of Pharmacy Faculty and Students with community pharmacists to:
- Provide training and guidance for implementing expanded patient care services to both students and community pharmacy preceptors
- Develop a collaborative environment in which students and preceptors who are interested in creating and implementing expanded patient care programs in community pharmacies are partnered together to develop these programs.
How does this program work?
- Pharmacists and students will receive training related to implementing clinical services
- Pharmacists and students will be matched according to interest in type of service, location, setting, or patient demographics of the pharmacy
- Students will work closely with the pharmacist to establish at least one patient care service that will be sustainable by pharmacy staff at the site
- Community pharmacists and students will partner with local OSU Extension Educators to enhance the accessibility of community pharmacy services to patients
Please Contact Jennifer L. Rodis, Pharm.D. (rodis.2@osu.edu, 614-247-8391) for more information or get involved in the Partner for Promotion project.
This project is made possible through an Excellence in Engagement grant from The Ohio State University Office of University Outreach and Engagement, an initiative to partner the University’s academic and research excellence with communities to advance the well-being of the people of Ohio and the global community.
