A symposium to recognize the research career of Professor Popat Patil. Poster-format presentations of research by college faculty and students.

The College of Pharmacy Research Day 2006 was an all-day event with poster displays of current students’ research projects and an afternoon symposium. Research is a major enterprise of College of Pharmacy and covers an extensive array of areas in pharmaceutical sciences. This year, the symposium was held in honor of emeritus member, Dr. Popat Patil, from the Division of Pharmacology. The symposium featured lectures from alumni who studied under Dr. Patil, and a reception followed the symposium to allow for informal interactions. The Research Day was one of many new activities in the College that promote interdisciplinary discussions and interactions for knowledge exchange relating to drug discovery, development and therapeutics.
