Program Mission

The mission of the Latiolais Leadership Program is to develop leadership and management skills and to conduct and promote research related to the medication use process across the continuum of care to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Program Goals

• Develop innovative education programs to determine cost-effective rational drug therapy with optimal health outcomes
  
  
• Enhance the skills of health care providers in re-engineering the medication use process to reduce costs and improve quality of health care
  
  
• Establish a visiting scholar program to offer educational and research opportunities from various health care settings, industry, and academia
  
  
• Define contemporary issues concerning health care and medication use and develop strategies to address them
  
  
• Conduct research which advances knowledge concerning the medication use process
  
  
• Contribute to national and international health policy development related to medication use
